If you check out Simmons' web site (ranchero.com I think?) he's been talking about putting the browser in NNW for a few weeks, since he got back from the developers conference with WebKit.

Rev. George

I personally like the separation, I load up all the interesting links behind NNW and then go through them and close the windows when I'm done with them. It sets up a queue of pages to read. But if you don't want to do things like me, check out Shrook which lets you browse within the app.

As for advertising, check out http://rss.lockergnome.com/'s RSS feed - they include advertising in their feed. I think content providers have two options at this point, provide an RSS feed the way they want it to appear or people will screen scrape your site and make one the way they want.
